Drouin

This West Gippsland town is located in an agricultural and dairying district. Drouin is 94km east of Melbourne.

Main Attractions

The region is renowned for the quality of its fresh produce. Many of the local producers of cheese, wine, fish, fruit, herbs and meat participate in the Gourmet Deli Trail, which also includes the towns of Wonthaggi, Warragul and Foster. Wineries, craft and antique shops complement the area. Drouin NR has 3km of walking tracks set in 14ha of natural bushland. In summer, the town is ablaze when the red-flowering gum trees (Eucalyptus ficifolia) are in full bloom. This beauty is celebrated with the Ficifolia Festival in February.
