Kyabram

A friendly tree-lined country town in the dairying and fruit-growing region of the western Goulburn Valley, Kyabram is 192km north of Melbourne.

Main Attractions

Kyabram Fauna Park is an award-winning 55ha reserve protecting wildlife, including free-roaming kangaroos and emus. Crocodiles are kept in a solar-heated reptile house. Wetlands support a variety of waterbirds, which can be observed from a raised hide. Also in the park are Hazelmans Cottage, a restored and refurnished settler's cottage, a restaurant, kiosk, and picnic and BBQ facilities. Eddis Park Arboretum is lovely for picnics under 200-year-old grey box gums, and for pleasant walks.
