Main Attractions

Omeo Historical Park, is a precinct with a number of historic buildings, including the American Romanesque-style Court House (still in use) built in 1892 to dispense justice to what was reputed to be Australia's roughest goldfield. Positioned around the Court House are the log gaol, last used in the 1980s, stables, a blacksmith's shop, waterwheel and museum. Oriental Claims, in the old goldfields, offers interesting walks around Ah Fong's Loop. For a magnificent collection of authentic cuckoo clocks, visit the German Cuckoo Shop.
