Karratha

Established in the late 1960s to service the needs of iron ore, salt and natural gas industry projects, Karratha derives its name from an Aboriginal word meaning 'good country'. An ideal base for exploring the Pilbara, Karratha is an administrative centre and boasts 'city style' shopping and services.
