Spectacular spring Wildflower Trails are a must July-Oct. Situated 47km east is Camel Soak, a waterhole utilised originally by Aboriginal peoples and later by travelling camel trains. The 180km Perenjori-Rothsay Heritage Trail traces the area's gold-mining history visiting old mining areas and gold ghost towns. Gold and gemstone fossickers are often well rewarded for their efforts. Waterbirds can be seen at Mongers Lake, a salt lake 50km NE.
