Business Reviews - Purpose and General Conditions

General overview of the business review service, guidelines for use and what denotes an acceptable submission.

Business Reviews posted on planbooktravel should be taken as individual, and highly subjective, opinions. The opinions expressed in business reviews are those of members of the planbooktravel network, not planbooktravel.

Planbooktravel reserves the right to remove any content on the site, for any reason as outlined in our terms and conditions (take down rights) and expressed in our editorial policy.

We do not endorse any of the opinions expressed by members/reviewers nor the management responses, nor are we affiliated with any establishment listed or reviewed on this web site.

Business Reviews must follow planbooktravel's guidelines and the author must be acknowledged as either a traveller (independent, impartial, unbiased) or business (related to, knowingly biased).

We will not publish a business review unless it is: Original, Personal, Family Friendly, Unique and Independent, Current and Relevant to Travellers, free from advertising messages, specials, pricing, availability or promotions as such.

Original: No material that has been sourced from other resources or that has been previously published.

Personal: Written by you, about your personal experience. You must have visited the property, location, attraction or must have participated in the event, tour or activity.

Family Friendly: Content must be able to be consumed and found to be not offensive to a family audience. This includes but is not limited to ensuring the review does not contain: Profanity, hate speech, threats, graphic reports or violent or unlawful activity.

Unique and Independent: One business review per member, per property (accommodation, tour, events, attraction etc). If a member requires to replace or retract a business review, they can do so by following the editorial process. Business reviews can then be re-submitted to editors for re-publication once modified or updated.

Current and Relevant to Travellers: Business reviews must be current and relevant to travellers. Reviewer's must have visited the property within the past 12 months. If the review is for a period greater than 12 months, the reviewer must state the dates of visitation so a reader can acknowledge that the property in question may have changed.

Non Promotional: Business reviews are designed to provide all travellers a current, honest and real representation of a user's experience of the property. As commercial content travellers and businesses must be aware that the business review IS NOT AN ADVERTISMENT. No rumours, quotations, no specials, commercial content, advertising, influencing or prospecting text or connotations. No 'Guest Reviews' as posted by property owners or associates or affiliates. No promotional material, URLs, contact details should be included.

* Just business reviews written by members who have had personal experience of the property.
