Situated next to Mudgee Shire Council Chambers and opposite beautiful Robertson Park, the Mudgee Visitor Information Centre provides a welcome to visitors and residents alike.

The centre is well stocked with local information on accommodation options, details on cellar door operations and wineries, places to eat, things to do and see, and points of interest in the area. There is a comprehensive range of Visitor Guides from other regions of New South Wales.

The centre also provides a range of information on local and regional National Parks provided by the National Parks and Wildlife Service, and carry a comprehensive range of topographical maps of the region for sale.

The retail section displays a large variety of locally produced honey, olive oils and olive products such as tapenades, a great array of famous Mudgee mustards, jams, preserves, wine jellies and spreads to satisfy the most discerning chef. They also retail apparel in the form of tee shirts and polo shirts monogrammed with Mudgee logos, caps, cards, books, giftware and souvenir items.

Each month the centre features a local artist on exhibition displaying ceramics, woven garments, glassware, paintings or any one of the huge range of artisans' work created in the region.

For after hours visitors, a touch screen is provided to access the Tourist Vision Information service, as well as a self serve Visitor Guide rack.

The Mudgee Visitor Information Centre provides convenient off street parking for up to 20 vehicles, and has public toilets, including disabled accesible facilities and baby change facilities. It is adjacent to the Post Office and has the Country Link Coach stop at the front door.

Assistance can be offered to the travel trade in the compilation of itineraries, and advice given on conference and event venues and forthcoming activities in the region.
