Walking with Spirits is presented by Djilpin Arts in partnership with the Australian Shakespeare Company. It is an annual celebration of the Beswick Community's culture and heritage, featuring traditional corroborees from several Arnhem Land languages. Malkgulumbu (Beswick Falls), with its picturesque lake and cliffs, provides the perfect natural setting for the show.
Visitors are invited to camp for the weekend in this spectacular lakeside setting, open to the general public only once a year for this event.
To reach Beswick Falls, travel the Stuart Highway to 51 kilometres south of Katherine. Turn left into Central Arnhem Road (Barunga turnoff). Drive 56 kilometres to the Beswick Community, the road to the falls from the community will be signposted. The last stretch is unsealed, so a four-wheel drive vehicle is advised or shuttle transport is available.
Tickets must be purchased in advance.
