Swell Sculpture Festival - Currumbin

Swell Sculpture Festival is an outdoor exhibition that creates a visual splendour amongst a natural coastal setting. At Currumbin Beach in September each year, visitors can experience the wonder of sculpture and interact with the large artworks specifically built for the outdoor environment.

55 sculptures of monumental, imaginative and curious nature are exhibited and visitors can wander the coastal walkway amongst the artworks. Other highlights include guided twilight walks, artist talks, and an exhibition of smaller works at the Swell Smalls Gallery; sculpture master classes, children's workshops, and a public art forum and weekend entertainment.

The free exhibition is open all hours with a selection of sculptures revealing a new verve as they light up under the southern sky.

The lure of Queensland's beach culture fused with outdoor sculpture attracts around 200,000 visitors each year. Swell Sculpture Festival is enthusiastically embraced by visitors from near, far and wide.
