The Adelaide Festival of Arts is one of the world's great arts festivals.

Every two years, it turns Adelaide into an arts and entertainment hub for artists and audiences from around the world, with a feast of theatre, film, dance, opera and more.

The Adelaide Festival of Arts also hosts the intoxicating Writers Week and the South Australian Short Film Awards.

At the end of the night, the Persian Garden is the place to go. This exotic outdoor club nestles between the Adelaide Festival Theatre and the Dunstan Playhouse, spilling down through Elder Park to the banks of the River Torrens.

Relax in the Persian Garde's lounge pods every balmy night under the stars or hit the dance floor to the sounds of the best bands, DJs and surprise Festival artists from Australia and around the world. Featuring the masters and mistresses of hip-hop, funk, jazz, dance, global, electronic beats and everything in between. Look out for the pleasure domes which mark the gates to Persian Garden.

The Adelaide Festival of Arts has created a strong tradition of innovation since 1960 inspiring celebration and presenting diverse art from across Australia and around the world. Held in the warm South Australian autumn in every 'even' year, this is a large-scale multi-arts event of extraordinary richness and diversity.

With the next event in 2010, stay tuned for more details of performers closer to the date.
