Dame Nellie Melba, a world renowned opera singer and Australian icon, was born and raised in the Yarra Valley. The Melba Festival continues to be designed to pay homage to the singer, opera and fine music.

Venues in the Yarra Valley will provide the scenery, food and wine to make a musical concert a special experience.

The Melba committee vision is to offer an ongoing annual festival to build and maintain an awareness of the cultural heritage of our area, and provide an opportunity for performers to be involved in a unique performing environment.
