2009 Melbourne International Motor Show - Southbank
The Melbourne International Motor Show has long been established as an annual automotive event.
The inaugural Melbourne International Motor Show was officially opened on 30th April 1925 and is one of the longest running in the world and by far the longest running in Australia.
The Motor Show occupies the entire 30,000 square metre facility of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre each year.
The Motor Show also utilises the 8,000 square metre concourse to display classic and historic vehicles prior to being auctioned on the last day of the Motor Show.
The use of 40,000 square metres certainly makes the Melbourne International Motor Show the biggest and most diverse Motor Show in Australia and, indeed, the Southern Hemisphere.
