Ironman Western Australia Triathlon allows spectators to watch as elite Ironman competitors trudge through a 3.8 kilometre swim adjacent to Western Australia's iconic Busselton Jetty; 180.2 kilometre bike course through the Tuart Forest and a 42.2 kilometre run along the foreshore, to be held on the Sunday 2 December, 2008.
This event is now part of the world-wide family of Ironman distance races which attract over 30,000 athletes to attempt to qualify for the Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Hawaii. The Ironman triathlon will provide competitors and spectators to experience the excitement and athleticism of a world class sporting event in one of the state's premier seaside resort towns.
Spectators will have the opportunity to view the excitement from a multitude of viewing stations, set up along the competitor's course.
