Margaret River’s iconic international surf event has been elevated to the pinnacle of the World Qualifying Series Circuit.

The Drug Aware Pro Margaret River is the premier male and female five start surf tournament in the world. More than 15,000 surf fans are expected to descend on Surfers Point across the week; the event will later be televised to millions of people in forty eight countries and available via a live television style online webcast.

The main event is attracting more than 180 professional male and female surfers from across the globe, with competitors battling it out for prime rating points and prize money totalling US190,000 (approximately AUD270,000).

As well as intense action in the surf, spectators will enjoy a festival atmosphere and plenty of action across the weekend.
