Opposite Newcastle Beach, this beautiful, restored heritage building is the best place to stay in Newcastle. Full of character, with friendly staff, modern facilities and regular activities.

Relax in the courtyard or the ballroom with its chandeliers and open fire. Facilities include: TV, VCR and movies, internet, pool table, self-catering kitchen, dining area and laundry. Take advantage of the YHA's surfboards and body-boards or book a tour at reception. Weekly pizza nights, trivia and free Irish pub meals three nights a week.

Rooms range from multi-share to double/twins, family rooms and singles. We accept any ages from young to old and are open to members of the YHA as well as non members. Show your YHA/Hostelling International membership card when checking in or join YHA on arrival and receive a discount of at least 10% off the standard rate.
