Launceston Backpackers provides comfortable hostel accommodation in the heart of Launceston, northern Tasmania. The Federation building has been tastefully renovated and has a homely atmosphere.

There are a range of accommodation options to choose from including six and four bed dormitories, triple, twin, double and single rooms. There are also double rooms with en suite bathrooms. Doona and linen are included. Towels, blankets and sheets are available for hire. The accommodation has modern bathrooms, a large commercial kitchen, spacious television room, separate dining room and a sunroom. All bedrooms and main living areas are heated in winter. There is a large off-street car park and visitors have 24-hour access. There are laundry facilities, internet access and a video library. The surrounding garden is well maintained. Launceston Backpackers has a tour and information desk and all bus companies will drop off and pick you up from this hostel.

Visit the magnificent Cataract Gorge or spoil yourself at the Aquarius Roman Baths. Enjoy the convenience of supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and outdoor shops all within five blocks. Wander down to Old Launceston Seaport and enjoy a coffee by the water or visit the cool-climate wineries of the Tamar Valley.
