Chimes Spa Retreat is a small exclusive boutique lodge. It is rated four and a half stars by the AAA (Guesthouses and Lodges Category) and has been architect designed for guests who appreciate the attention to detail and personalized service provided by the hosts, Michelle and Kane Randle.

With just ten suites, Chimes endeavours to be unobtrusive but sensitive to your needs.

Whilst not a hotel Chimes is nevertheless proud to have been selected as a member of the Small Elegant Hotels of the World which are carefully selected hotels, mostly family owned, distinguished by their friendly ambience and personalized service.

Vines and wines are transforming the local landscape around Denmark. The former timber, dairy and fruit growing district has become Western Australia's most exciting wine growing area. Chimes is located in the heart of this Great Southern Wine Region and its 51 vineyards.

Chimes is four hours drive from Perth, 30 minutes drive from Albany and 40 minutes drive from Mount Barker.

Best Room in the House
With a superb outlook to the ocean and inlet, this accommodation is a stylish and uniquely private quad-level tower which is larger than the tower suite and in a separate wing to the main lodge. Head upstairs to a generous mezzanine with king size bed, leather settee and huge exposed vaulted ceiling. Look down to the spacious, opulent, carpeted spa room with built-in lounger. Separate en suite with double shower. Added extras also include a multitude of indulgent spa additives, chocolates, DVD/video player with a selection of compact discs, 80 centimetre flat screen and access to DVD library.
Queen Garden Suite
These entry level suites are spacious with a beautiful country aspect and garden views. There is a queen size bed, an en suite bathroom with large separate shower and separate open plan double spa/jacuzzi against a large picture window. Sleeping up to two guests, other facilities include alarm clock radio, compact disc player, television with Foxtel, telephone, internet access and mini bar.
Tower suite
A tri-level suite with superb outlook to the ocean and inlet from two large windows in the upstairs loft with an exposed vaulted ceiling. Featuring a king size bed and comfortable seating, this luxury suite is your own personal haven. Look over the banister and down to the separate spa area with bench seat and large picture windows overlooking magnificent garden and country views, beautifully lit at night. Then down again to the entry with recessed mini bar and en suite with huge double shower. Seven windows in all, a very light bright airy feel.
King Ocean Suite
The ocean view suites enjoy views across Denmark’s Inlet to the Southern Ocean beyond. Sleeping up to two guests, the bedroom is fitted with a king size bed (or twins if requested) and balcony. A luxury spa bath is also found in your own private bathroom. Facilities include alarm clock radio, compact disc player, television with Foxtel, telephone, internet access and mini bar.
King Garden Suite
Situated on the garden side of the lodge but positioned higher than the Queen Garden Suites, this accommodation features a spa and luxury surroundings. The King Garden Suite provides a lovely private feel with serene country and garden views. Sleeping up to two guests, the bedroom is fitted with a king size bed (or twins if requested) and balcony. Facilities include alarm clock radio, compact disc player, television with Foxtel, telephone, Internet access and mini bar.
Room For a Few
Ideally suited for a small group of two to four people. Featuring a queen size bedroom, a small single bedroom off the main bedroom plus a very good rolla-bed is available for the fourth person. There is a separate spa room, also off the main bedroom and a separate bathroom with toilet and shower. A large lounge room features an impressive television with DVD/video player and access to the DVD library.
