The Tamar Visitor Centre is located in the Tamar Valley town of Exeter in northern Tasmania.

As a member of the accredited Tasmanian Visitor Information Network located around the state, the Tamar Visitor Centre is open from 8.30am - 5pm seven days a week and has skilled, knowledgeable staff and volunteers who can provide expert local and statewide travel information. Our staff can also organise your bookings and reservations and give advice on what to see and do and where to eat around the Island.

You can purchase your Tamar Triple Passes at the Tamar Visitor Centre (discounted entry into three of the Tamar Valley's major attractions: Grubb Shaft Gold and Heritage Museum, Seahorse World and Platypus House) and save money. The Tamar Visitor Centre also has a large range of souvenirs and gifts to suit all tastes and budgets.

The Tamar Valley region highlight include the Tamar Valley Wine Route, that guides you to cellar doors and vineyard restaurants; Narawntapu National Park, with its beach walks and wildlife; Grubb Shaft Gold and Heritage Museum at nearby Beaconsfield; Seahorse World and Platypus House at Beauty Point and many more attractions.
