Putting Evandale, Tasmania on the map

We received an email from a particularly proactive Visitor Information Centre in Evandale, Tasmania today. Looking for new ways to gain some visibility for their location...

Graham from Evandale VIC contacted us looking for more information on how he could best utilise planbooktravel to gain more exposure for his location and businesses within.

We are always keen for new people to participate in the site so I gave Graham a call to chat it through.

Graham explained that Evandale, like many other VIC's in Tasmania, have had their status down graded and therefore no longer receive State government support but instead they are now under the wing of the local Government tourism unit.

As a result of these changes, he was looking for additional means to achieve exposure and visibility for his area, but at a low cost point as their budgets are minimal.

Graham has a good general understanding of the internet and was searching for directory sites to publish businesses in his area, in order to extend his reach online. This is a good strategy, and led him to planbooktravel.com.au and our business directory business.planbooktravel.com.au

Adding listings to free business directories is a great way to get reach for your businesses and attract a new audience. Some free listings offer web links as well, which will help improve the search engine optimisation (SEO) for the 'linked to' business.

Tourism operators looking to add their business to the planbooktravel directory, need only to go to http://business.planbooktravel.com.au and select join.
