Limeburners Creek Nature Reserve - Crescent Head
Limeburners Creek Nature Reserve is a coastal nature reserve with sites of Aboriginal significance, walks, camping and surfing.
The sparkling coastline of heathlands, banksia and blackbutt forest and the rare rainforests of Big Hill provide shelter for the threatened and well-camouflaged ground parrot. Limeburners Creek, Saltwater Lake and the surrounding sand ridges support an unusual mixture of vegetation communities and habitats.
The beach is popular for swimming, surfing, and fishing or just relaxing. Car-based and caravan camping is available at Point Plomer with toilet and shower facilities. Amenities are wheelchair accessible.
Melaleuca (Big Hill) camp has basic facilities. Bring your own drinking water, provide your own firewood or purchase it on site.
No bookings accepted. Payment at self-registration station.
