Return to Busselton

The Nautical Lady is an outdoor recreation complex situated at the base of the Historic Railway Jetty at Busselton's central beachfront. The site was formerly used as Timber Marshalling yards from 1910-1966, and since then had fallen into a poor state of disrepair.

The Nautical Lady opened at Christmas in 1981 and boasts the only outdoor skating complex of its type in the state. There is a large flat section and flat pathways for the novice skaters and curves, banks, a tunnel and a bridge for the more daring skaters and skateboarders. Skates and skateboards are available for hire.

A large seawater pool with six motorised bumper boats adds the nautical flavour to the complex. The boats are very stable and can be easily operated by children. Their appeal is universal and contagious for both young and old

In 1983 the complex doubled in size and now offers eight in-ground, full size trampolines and six exciting 'Le Mans' racing cars on a cambered track. Because the cars are so fast, age and size limit applies. Spectators are encouraged and admitted free.

The Nautical Lady was designed with the family in mind, a great place to spend time by the sea.
