Tully is located at the base of Mount Tyson, on Banyan Creek, a tributary of the Tully River. The town is notable for having one of the highest annual rainfalls in Australia. Tully's economic mainstays include sugar, bananas, tropical fruit, cattle, aquaculture and tourism.
