Freycinet National Park
- Freycinet NP is a protected area of coastal heathland and white sand beaches washed by vibrant blue waters. Located on the East Coast of Tasmania, 180km SE of Launceston, the 168km national park boasts granite mountain peaks, including Amos, Dove and Mason, which can be seen from any point within the park. The park offers great coastal walking paths as well as summit climbs and bushwalking. Watersports are popular in the summer months, with fishing and cruising the main attractions. Worth exploring is Bluestone Bay, a beach with bluish rocks, some up to 1m in length, that many believe resemble dinosaur eggs. Campsites, youth hostels and B are all available for the weary explorer.
