Return to Ballina

Ballina Ocean Tours are located on the North Coast of New South Wales, just over 30k kilometres south of Byron Bay. Now in our ninth year (and yes experience counts!) Ballina Ocean Tours offer whale and dolphin-watching tours, in which your safety and comfort are a priority.

Come and see the whales at play and listen to them sing their songs and communicate through the hydrophone.

Whales will often swim right up to the boat and with large numbers of newborn whales spotted with their mum’s last year, this year should prove to be even better, as the population grows so do the number of sightings each year. The highest number of whales we spotted in the one day last year was 30 – that is a lot of whales

Each Ballina Ocean Tour includes; refreshments tea, coffee light snacks and strawberries, hydrophone, informative commentary, and a comfortable boat with sunshade, cabin and bathroom facilities as well as life jackets all of which makes for a comfortable, entertaining and truly memorable experience.

Please bring warm clothing, for cooler days, a hat and sunglasses, to keep the sun out of your eyes and a camera, to capture those magic moments.
