Return to Noosa Heads

Camel Company Australia operates on Noosa's beautiful North Shore, the southern gateway to the Great Sandy Region and World Heritage Listed Fraser Island. Located 150 kilometres north of Brisbane, Queenslands' capital, approximately one and a half hours drive along the Bruce Highway.

The company has developed a range of safaris to cater for the beginner through to treks for the more adventurous. This range extends from a relaxing one hour safari up to an overnight safari. Safaris are conducted with the camels linked together in caravan style with an experienced cameleer at the helm. Patrons can sit back and enjoy the gentle rocking motion of these ships of the desert, whilst absorbing the natural beauty of the region.

Camelis Dromedarius is a single humped camel. The majestic animals played a large part in Australia's heritage, opening up the inland frontiers otherwise inaccessible. The camel has a colourful history spanning some 150 years.

Join them and their quiet, well trained camels for the ultimate relaxing adventure with a difference.
