Luxury Food and Wine Two Day Tour - BD06

Experience two days of wine exploration (exclusive to you) and receiving premium service from some of South Australia’s best wineries. Touring with John Baldwin will ensure a truly memorable insight into the Clare and Barossa wine regions. Day One - You'll be greeted at Adelaide Airport or an Adelaide guesthouse by your friendly host, John Baldwin, in a modern seven seat Mercedes vehicle and travel to the Clare Valley for a tour and tasting of the fine elegant wines of this picturesque region. Enjoy a two course gourmet lunch with wine on the verandah of Skillogalee, with beautiful views of the Clare Valley. As wine is all about personal tastes, your tour and tastings will be tailored for you by John, an award winning wine guide. Enjoy afternoon tea at Martindale Hall ( 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' location) and then travel to the Barossa Valley for your overnight stay at Lanzerac Country House, set amongst the vines near Tanunda. You will enjoy a light two course evening meal at your hosted guesthouse. Day Two - Start the day with a country cooked breakfast in the 'French Provincial Restaurant' at Lanzerac and then spend another informative day of wine exploration with John and your luxurious 1962 Daimler vehicle, previously used in royal tours of the sixties. You'll be picked up at 1000 to begin your tour of the world famous Barossa Valley and once again, the day will include a two course gourmet lunch with wine, at a local Barossa restaurant. Your tour will feature both large, historical wineries and small family owned boutiques, once again, tailored to your particular wine tastes by John. Afternoon tea is also included. (Note: Barossa Valley touring is conducted in the classic Daimler limousine, Clare Valley and McLaren Vale tours are conducted in the modern Mercedes vehicle). Day One - Be greeted at Adelaide Airport or Adelaide accommodation by your friendly host, John Baldwin, followed by a short drive through the southern Adelaide Hills. Indulge yourself in the views and scenery, and of course the fantastic wines of the McLaren Vale area. With its rolling fields of vines and fruit trees, the Mediterranean lifestyle is evident, it was originally settled by Greek and Italian immigrants who brought their skills with the vine to the region. Taste and buy fine regional wines only available at the cellar door from wineries snug in their surrounds of almond and olive groves. Beautiful clear skies and the scent of the ocean turn your thoughts to food. Enjoy a sumptuous two course lunch at a fine restaurant, followed by a meander through the rolling hills to continue your wine exploration. Evening will see you enjoying a delicious three course dinner, at your five star fully hosted guest house accommodation. Day Two - The heady odour of a country cooked breakfast will awaken you.
