Our seven day Desert Camel Treks take you into the vast outback landscape to places rarely visited by other travellers. We operate from Coward Springs Campground on the Oodnadatta Track and our camels are an experience in store for you. They are gentle, well-trained animals and easy to get to know. All safaris travel with two strings of camels. We sometimes also take our camel-drawn wagon, which makes it easy for families and the less fit. We either travel as the crow flies or follow bush tracks such as old station tracks and beside the ‘Old Ghan’ railway line. All you need to bring is your personal gear and the camels carry everything. This means you can walk and explore or birdwatch with just your daypack but there are always camels available for riding.
