Rod Barford's Flytrek Australia - one of Australia's leading fishing guides.

Flytrek offers the visiting angler a professional yet personalised guiding service based on 44 years fly fishing experience and 19 years guiding experience.

Fly Fishing Tours

Join us in some of the world's most uncrowded and pristine fishing environments. Enjoy the journey to your fishing destination, taking in the magnificent scenery. Chance encounters with various wildlife species will delight, as will the scents and sounds of the bush.

Crystal clear streams, host to many trout, will provide a wonderful relaxation while you try to tempt a fish with the fly.

To experience the very best of the Australian outdoors, choose an all-inclusive fly fishing tour from our wide range. You can combine a number of different fishing locations in one tour, and select from accommodation options that range from rustic bush cabins, well-appointed B&Bs, up to luxurious mountain lodges.

Fly Fishing Schools: Tuition

The angler can also take advantage of either our well-established fly fishing schools, or personalised tuition. The schools are conducted on nearby rivers, mostly within 2 1/2 hours of Melbourne. Further a field, our high country stream school takes place in the Alpine National Park, which offers participants a unique opportunity to view the prolific wildlife and unique alpine scenery. There aren't many places in the world where you can drink the water you fish in!

From single day outings to a wide variety of destinations within two hours of Melbourne, to extended all-inclusive tours that will take you through the most cultured of farmland, into the wilderness of the Australian bush, taking in National Parks along the way. In our picnic lunch hampers, sample the gastronomic delights of Victoria's produce.
