60th Celebrations at Lorne Victoria
The drive down along the Great Ocean Road is spectacular and Lorne is a very special place to be. My Mum recently turned the big 60 and thought it would be nice to rent a house down at Lorne for the weekend with the family.

What a brilliant idea! The house we rented was perched at the top of a hill and had sweeping views of the Lorne bay from the pier, all the way around.
We had lots of family fun down on the foreshore trampolines - they were an absolute hit! We enjoyed the beach, built sandcastles for squashing and holes to bury people in. Hubby enjoyed some surfing.
I think one of the things I really like about Lorne is that in a time of drought - everything was quite green and picturesque. Lots of flora and fauna to enjoy.
We headed off around mid morning from Lorne heading to Anglesea for some lunch. We discovered a gorgeous beach that we had never really noticed before called Point Roadknight along the way. The beach was well protected from the wind - but still has a little surf. For the little kids there is heaps of 30-40cm water to swim in - that was quite warm. Will be going back there for sure over summer...
