Narooma to Lake Conjola
We had previously visited Jervis Bay and the surrounding towns and marked the area as a place we must return to. Jervis Bay is blessed with some of the clearest and most inviting looking water of any beach location. Set umongst national park with walking tracks and secluded beaches it really is ideal.
I'd read about Lake Conjola which is south of Jervis Bay but said to be the most picturesque place to fish in all of New South Wales. We therefore decided to make it a stop.
We arrived at 3pm and booked for 3 nights, viewed our camp spot and extended this to 5 nights on the view alone.
Lake Conjola struck me as one of the best looking places I could imagine. The park is on the waters edge, boats line the shore in front of your van, the water is so clear it gives the appearance of drinking water. The local veterans tell us the surf is close, the fishing is good, the oysters are free, it is sheltered from wind and the facilities are as good as they get.
I'm a little nervous that this might be as good as it gets and we've peaked too early!
