Around 200,000 barramundi and 100,000 mullet, and a few mangrove jack are released into the lake each year. The hatchery run by Gladstone Area Water Board and the Gladstone Port Authority is one of the largest breeders of barramundi in Queensland. Great fishing! Arguably the best for Barramundi up north!
