Ten good reasons why you should visit Daylesford and Hepburn Springs...

1. There are 100 therapies and health related activities in a five kilometre radius of Daylesford, but the reopening of the historic Hepburn Bath House after a $13mil upgrade is the jewel in the crown.  www.hepburnbathhouse.com


2. Lavandula, the Swiss Italian Lavender Farm is terrific any time the weather is fine with a heritage farmhouse building, lavender, olives and grapes. www.lavandula.com.au


3. When the weather is not kind, head for the Mill Market with a huge collection of antiques, retro fashion, collectables, furniture & just about anything else under the sun.  www.themillmarkets.com.au


4.  There is no bad restaurant in Daylesford, it just depends on your preference. The Chowder House 97 Main Rd Hepburn Springs is where the locals go for a bowl of authentic seafood chowder


5. Lake House, yet again awarded 2 Hats in the Age Good Food Guide, is worth every dollar you spend, especially compared with what you spend on a massage. www.lakehouse.com.au


6. Hepburn Springs Village offers a different experience from Vincent St Daylesford- more laid back with lots of places to eat.

8. The Farmers Market at Daylesford Primary School on the first Saturday of the month is a great place to see all the best of local produce.

Daylesford
The 'Spa Centre of Australia', comprising the twin towns of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. This is a popular destination for short breaks and is located 115km NW of Melbourne. A picturesque town, the surrounding area has lakes, forests, relics from the goldmining era and Australia's largest concentration of natural mineral springs. There are at least 65 mineral springs in the Daylesford and Hepburn Springs region.
