Flinders Ranges National Park
- Covering 927km, Flinders Ranges NP is a campers' delight. Around 460km north of Adelaide, it was made famous by artist Hans Heysen's depiction of the ranges. Attractions of the park include the amazing sunrises and sunsets; Wilpena Pound, a huge natural amphitheatre 5km by 11km; the Sacred Canyon, a fantastic site of Aboriginal art; the wildflower display in early spring; and many stunning valleys and gorges. Some camping sites have toilet facilitiess; Wilpena Pound has a motel, ranger facilities and a general store.
