- Apollo Bay is set on the coast with excellent surfing and swimming beaches and the Otway Ranges as a backdrop. Located 183km SW of Melbourne, it is a thriving tourist centre and the base for the local Bass Strait fishing fleet that supplies local and overseas markets.
