Fires above Lake Buffalo half a year on 3

The fires did an immense amount of damage, it's hard in photos to really show the immensity, the kilometres and kilometres of damaged bush. In some areas the fires burned so hot, the trees are not regrowing. The hills in this photo, are full of blackened trees as far as the eye can see toward Mt Buffalo. This photo was taken above lake buffalo on the backroads from King Valley to Myrtleford throught the national park.

weird trees - the trees in the NT looked like that when they grew back after cyclone tracey in the 70s. it's amazing how resilient nature is.
