The Blue Water Country Music Festival is being held in Port Stephens on the June Long Weekend. The Festival is a new concept in Country Music with many of the Festivals activities being held on the water.
Port Stephens is often described as "Blue Water Paradise" and on the June long weekend, 6, 7 and 8 June 2008,it will be the home of the Blue Water Country Music Festival where the Country meets the sea.
Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest will host a variety of different entertainment over the June Long Weekend with The Dianne Lindsay Show at the Hawks Nest Golf Club on Friday 6 June 2008 and the Huntsmen Trio on Sunday 8 June 2008.
Both the Wallamba and the Simba II will host Bush Poet and/or Country Music Cruises on Port Stephens on Saturday and Sunday and the Myal Quays Shopping Centre will host Bowen & Lydia Duo on Saturday morning.
This is an entirely new concept in Country Music with many components of the Festival being on Water. You can join Luncheon Afloat or just Board a Boat and soak up Country Music while sailing Port Stephens. This will be a unique experience.
There are of course many other ways to enjoy the Festival on shore at over 40 venues in Port Stephens hosting over 200 Country Music artists including many nationally recognised personalities, Bush Poets, Boot scooting, Blue Grass, Country Music Gospel Concert, Blue Dolphin young talent awards and much more.
