Baker Williams Distillery

Husband and Wife team Nathan and Helen Williams have carved their niche in spirits and liqueurs in Mudgee - a region more known for its wine and food. Baker Williams Distillery is a Micro Distillery located in Mudgee NSW, making handcrafted spirits and liqueurs focusing on regional flavours and influences. Their range includes Moonshine, Vodka, Gin, and perennial favourites Limoncello and Butterscotch Schnapps. They welcome you to visit their cellar door so you can see, smell and taste their wares. All at the one stop you can also visit Vinifera Wines and Mudgee Hampers to enjoy fine Spanish Varietals and spectacular fare from provedores across the Mudgee region.

Bunnamagoo Wines

Previously, Bunnamagoo Estate prize winning wines were only available by mail order, at restaurants or in specialty wine shops. Now, with the opening of the new and modern cellar door the wines can be tasted and purchased direct from the winery. The Bunnamagoo Cellar Door is adjacent to the winery and surrounded by the vineyard about six kilometres along Henry Lawson Drive from the Mudgee town centre. The entrance is just past the Henry Lawson Memorial. Bunnamagoo Estate wines are the outcome of a long-standing personal interest on the part of the Directors of Paspaley Pearling Company in artesan wine-making. The intention is to apply the same sort of discrimination and patience to wine-making that brought them success with their pearls. Group bookings are welcome.

Burrundulla Vineyards

Burrundulla Vineyards offer 100 per cent estate grown wines from the vineyards of Mudgee's earliest pioneering family. Within their beautiful wine tasting room and alfresco courtyard enjoy elegant wines that reflect the heritage behind the 'history in a glass' label. You can also sample gourmet foods, French wares, picnic baskets - surrounded by true pastoral and vineyard vista perfection!

Chefs Kitchen at Blue Wren

Join them at Blue Wren as they showcase the region's newest dining experience. Let them take your senses on a discovery through their set five course tasting menu showcasing the very best local produce on offer. Guests are invited to dine either at an intimate table in the restaurant, or positioned at an exclusive place at the Chefs Table. Here you are open to engage and discuss every part of your culinary journey with the kitchen team. Seating is limited to approximately 16 guests and essential bookings can be made via OpenTable.

High Valley Mudgee Cheese Co

Cheese lovers will be delighted to add High Valley Mudgee Cheese Co Factory to the list of sites to visit whilst they are in Mudgee. Tastings and sales available at The Cellar By Gilbert at 137 Ulan Road where the factory is also located. Visitors are rewarded with beautiful hand-crafted artisan cheese that is made on the premises with single sourced milk from Dubbo's Little Big Dairy Co dairy. Brie, Rouge, award winning Fetta, Caephilly and a couple of varieties of Blue are available to taste and buy.

Leaning Oak Wine and Cheese

Leaning Oak Winery and Dairy is NSW's only Sheep and Goat Dairy. Leaning Oak's mission is to provide customers with a "Farm to Plate" experience, all cheeses are hand made using milk from their much loved goats and sheep. Visit Leaning Oak and taste their Artisan Goat and Sheep Cheese, meet the animals and enjoy a unique Mudgee experience. While you are savouring the tastes of wonderful cheese you can also swirl, sniff, taste and spit Leaning Oak Semillon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet and Shiraz. Estate made wines developed to display their distinctive regional and varietal characters. You could also book into a cheese making course and surprise your friends and family with your own cheese. Open Thursday to Monday, 10am - 4pm. Feeding of babies between 12pm and 2pm.

Logan

If you want to come and see what all the fuss is about, you will find Logan in the valley of Apple Tree Flat - a picturesque locale of the Mudgee region set amongst the mountains of the Great Diving Range. All glass and light with a bright and welcoming interior, the Tasting Room is nestled on the side of a hill with uninterrupted views over their Mudgee vineyard and neighbouring farms. It's a beautiful building, architecturally designed to reflect their stylish wines. Delicious regional cheese plates, coffee and homemade cakes are served as an accompaniment for you to enjoy. Located approximately 18 kilometres from Mudgee town along Castlereagh highway towards Sydney (on the right hand side).

Lowe Wines

Lowe Wines is a small winegrower based in Mudgee, New South Wales, and drawing grapes from vineyards in the NSW central west, principally Mudgee, Nullo Mountain and Orange. The winery, now a certified organic facility, specialises in small batch winemaking using innovative techniques. Their Mudgee vineyards are untrellised, unirrigated and certified organic. Producing lower yields of distinctively individual grapes; one of four flag ship varieties being Zinfandel. Lowe Wines are leading the field with practical sustainable management in their vineyards and farm.

Moothi Estate Vineyard and Cellar Door

Set atop the vineyard on the slopes of Mt Frome, the Moothi Estate cellar door provides undoubtedly the best views in Mudgee. Family owned and run with premium, boutique wines, local produce tastings and gourmet cheese and produce platters on offer. Indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the vines allow for maximum views for a lazy lunch or relaxed wine tasting.

Mudgee Brewing Co.

Mudgee has a long history of brewing beer, starting in 1858 with Crossing's Brewery. Twenty-five years later, the Broombee Brewery came along. Mudgee's longest-running brewery, the Federal Brewery, was established in 1883 and operated until 1956, sending beer to Darwin and several Pacific Islands during World War II. The brewery's building is a little over 100 years old and used to be a Wool & Skin Store run by the Poulton family for 80 years. After a few renovations, it's perfect for enjoying some ice cold beer, local Mudgee wine and of course, local produce. The brewery is also the home of live music in Mudgee. Other services include catering, weddings, events and tours. As a family run local business, our main goal is to promote Mudgee, local wine makers and farmers while increasing tourism in the Central West region. And, as always, serve fantastic beer and food.

Optimiste Wines

The Optimiste Wines Tasting House is set on the family owned farm and vineyard 12 kilometres from Mudgee. The Tasting House is situated in the old homestead on the property which dates back to 1926 and was recently restored. Being a classic Australian homestead, complete with wrap around veranda that has commanding views over the farm, vineyard and down the valley, makes if the perfect location to try the Optimiste range of wines. Optimiste Wines are a small boutique wine label, with a range of traditional and alternative varieties that only uses the fruit grown on the property to make their wines.

Robert Oatley Vineyards

Launched in 2006, Robert Oatley Vineyards marks Bob Oatley's return to winemaking. The Robert Oatley, Wild Oats, pocketwatch and Montrose wines are made by Larry Cherubino and his team from grapes grown on their Oatley vineyards across the historic Mudgee region, as well as from growers all around the country. The Oatley experience with the Mudgee region dates back to the 1970s. Situated in the Central Ranges GI on the edge of the Blue Mountains, Mudgee is rich in alluvial soils and bright sunshine. Chardonnay, Shiraz, Sangiovese and Merlot grow extremely well on these 2,000 foot elevation vineyards.

Robert Stein Winery

The Robert Stein Winery and cellar door is located just a short drive from the centre of Mudgee, in the Central West of New South Wales. With a wine growing family lineage dating back to 1838, the vineyard, which was established in 1976, is now producing award-winning reds, whites and fortifieds. The James Halliday Wine Companion rates the Robert Stein Winery as a Red Five Star Winery. At Robert Stein there are beautiful panoramic views of the Mudgee district, a vintage motorcycle display, the cellar door offers wine tastings and the highly regarded Pipeclay Pumphouse Restaurant (bookings advised). The full range of wines, made on site from grapes grown on the property, can be can be tasted at the cellar door, many of which have received awards, medals and trophies. The cellar door and Motorcycle Museum are open from 10am to 4.30pm daily (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day). Winery tours can be arranged by appointment only. Buses and coach tours are welcome by appointment.
