Eurong Beach Resort

Eurong Beach Resort, located on the eastern coast of Fraser Island, along the iconic 75 Mile Beach. This makes it the perfect base from which to explore the island's World Heritage-listed sights, such as pristine freshwater lakes, vast sandblows, lush rainforests and the historic Maheno Shipwreck. With accommodation styles to suit all budgets from hotel rooms to self-contained apartments, this relaxed beachfront resort is perfect for the whole family. The resort's restaurant and bar overlook a large free-form swimming pool, while a casual Beach Bar adjoins a second pool, offering nightly entertainment. Facilities also include barbecues and a tennis court, and is the ideal base for fishing and 4WD adventures. The resort grounds are home to the famous Eurong Bakery, supplying fresh bread, hot food, snacks and coffee, as well-a General Store, for groceries, meat, vegetables, souvenirs, resort wear, camping equipment, fishing gear, ice, fuel and gas. Eurong is easily accessible, with vehicle barges operating daily from River Heads, south of Hervey Bay, to Wanggoolba Creek. From the Sunshine Coast via Rainbow Beach, the barge is on demand between Inskip Point and Hook Point between 6am and 5.30pm (Barge bookings are not required).

Kingfisher Bay Resort

Fraser Island Fishing Units

Fraser Island Fishing Units are situated in what would be the prime position on Fraser Island - 'Indian Head'. They are located only metres from surf beach to the south and a protected bay to the north. You can take a short walk to the top of the headland and watch the whales swimming past. This is the place to stay for the best fishing on the island or simply a quiet secluded place for a perfect holiday. Fish the southern beaches, the quiet bay or off the rock at the back of the headland for catching the biggest and best tailor during the tailor season. it is a good location to visit all the hot-spots from. Fraser Island Fishing Units offer the choice of a four bedroom house or two cabins, fully powered by a solar system. Each unit and house is fully self-contained, offering two fridges, freezer, gas, hot water and stove. Barbecue areas with gas barbecues are also provided.

Fraser Island Holiday Lodges

Fraser Island Holiday Lodges incorporate two holiday houses - Talinga and Weerona - situated on absolute beach front, in the township of Eurong on Fraser Islands' Eastern side. Right by the ocean, visitors can easily discover Fraser Island's spectacular scenic attractions, while enjoying the unique, natural environment and relaxed holiday experience. Talinga is a three bedroom, split level cottage, sleeping eight guests. One of the first houses built on Fraser in the 60's. Talinga boasts absolute beachfront views of the ocean from every room. Weerona is located next door to Talinga and is a spacious three bedroom house, also sleeping eight guests. It was built in the 70's, and boasts a large living area, a north easterly aspect and enjoys fantastic ocean views. To ensure maximum comfort you should bring sheets, towels, pillow cases, all cleaning products, tidy bags, soap, toilet paper, matches, plenty of batteries and firewood. This property is powered by a Solar Battery system.

Fraser Island Retreat

Fraser Island Retreat is located in Happy Valley on the Eastern Beach of Fraser Island about halfway between Hook Point (the southern tip) and Indian Head. They are only 200 metres back from the beach. Their individual one and two bedroom motel style timber cabins are nestled on a hillside amongst native plants. Nine cabins are available. Each two bedroom cabin sleeps six persons (two queen and two king single beds) and each one bedroom cabin sleeps four persons (one queen and two king single beds). All cabins have a veranda, windows are fully screened, have ensuite bathroom facilities, a 200 litre fridge freezer, coffee and tea making facilities (cooking facilities available in a shared Camp Kitchen nearby). Bed linen is supplied. You can also enjoy relaxing in their pool. For breakfast, lunch and dinner enjoy the ambience of the Satinay Bar and Bistro. And their General Store has all your basic needs and fuel and provides drinks, snacks and takeaway meals throughout the day. You can also cater for yourselves in their Guest Camp Kitchen which has gas barbecue, cooktop, microwave, toaster, and kettle with all your basic cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery.

Fraser Island camping, Great Sandy National Park

Long beaches, dramatic coloured-sand cliffs, natural sandblows, rocky headlands and pristine freshwater lakes and streams are some of Fraser Island's spectacular natural features. There are 45 camping areas on Fraser Island in Great Sandy National Park. All camping areas have capacity limits and may become booked out, especially during peak holiday periods. To avoid disappointment, book early—bookings are available six months in advance. Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site. Book your camp site and purchase your camping permit in advance. Bookings can be made on-line, over the counter or by phone. Fraser View

Fraser View comprises two units of accommodation, each with two bedrooms and each fully self-contained. Relax on the verandah from which you can see the water and be soothed by the gentle sound of the surf. It is a short 150 metre stroll to the beach. Fraser View is located on the ocean side of Fraser Island, in the secluded second valley of Happy Valley. Being near the end of a no through road there is lots of room for children to play while you enjoy the peace and quiet with very few vehicles passing. Happy Valley is a good location from which to explore the island. To the north, travel only a short distance up the beach, Eli Creek, the wreck of the TSS Maheno and rainforests. Or travel further north to Indian Head, Waddy Point and Sandy Cape. To the south, enjoy Central Station forests, Lake McKenzie and other lakes. Or travel inland from Happy Valley to Yidney Scrub and the start of several scenic drives. Fraser View has views to the ocean and the beach.

Kokomo at Kingfisher Bay

Kokomo "get there fast then take it slow!" This residence has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and is air conditioned. It is just a few minutes drive from the barge and sleeps up to 10 people, making it the perfect place for couples, families or groups of friends. When you aren't exploring fabulous World Heritage listed Fraser Island you'll love to take it slow at Kokomo!

Salty Towers

Salty Towers is a three bedroom pole home located in the second valley of Happy Valley on Fraser Island. Salty Towers offers self-contained accommodation is located near the Eastern Beach so is ideally located for those wishing to explore and enjoy Fraser Island. The house sleeps up to 10 people (in eight beds) and has a large deck with a covered outdoor dining area for 12. It is a short 200 metre walk to the beach and a similar distance on the track through the cutting to the Fraser Island Retreat which offers a bistro, bar, convenience shop and real coffee. The house has three bedrooms - two bedrooms with queen beds on the main floor and a loft with six single beds. Salty Towers enjoys views of the ocean from the living area and the outdoor dining area, and is fully screened.
